All the greatness from the podcast medium
REVIEW - Doug Loves Movies (Podcast) - @PFTompkins, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Garry Marshall
Paul F. Tompkins is a genius, displayed here by his ability to play all three guests on the show. I personally enjoy Lord Webber the most, but his embodiment of Garry Marshall might be best. This is available on iTunes currently, and is a must listen if you are a fan of comedy.

REVIEW: @mentalpod with @robdelaney (Podcast)
Thank you, group of Nuns in Kansas for providing us with the workhorse humor of Rob Delaney.
If you want to know exactly what that means, listen to the Mental Illness Happy Hour episode (hosted by Paul Gilmartin) with Rob Delaney and here the tumultuous story of his life. He talks about rock bottom, which involved a 0.271 BAC earning two broken arms and the subsequent rise to corporate success that he absolutely hated. This bit particularly struck me, because I know too many people who are displeased with their job because they aren’t doing something they love (The reason why I developed this website). The answer, as the soul of Chekhov echoes through Delaney, is simply: work. If you love something, work your ass off to make it happen.
This is a very solid podcast episode and it reminds me of this article he wrote for Vice. I had previously followed and unfollowed @robdelaney before I had read that article. The reason I had unfollowed him was probably due to some of his shock-humor bits. This reminded me of the first time I heard of Odd Future, and watched the video for “Yonkers” by Tyler, The Creator. After hearing their stories, I became a big fan and have grown to appreciate what they do.
Rob Delaney is a very, very funny man and I’m looking forward to his upcoming book and hope that his pilot gets picked up on Comedy Central.

WOW! I’ve been intensively listening to podcasts since @ravi_mangla got me hooked on them this past summer, with my main addiction being the @wtfpod with Marc Maron. Something about the one on one interview, or even the group interviews, personal and truthful discussions were something that really stuck with me.
Mike Eagle also released one of my favorite projects of the year, and happened to be featured on this podcast with the wonderful Paul Gilmartin. They enjoy a long conversation covering everything from growing up in Chicago, family life, the loss of motivation in middle school, a “fear off” and delve into the hip-hop culture. That’s barely scratching the surface, but all I can say is this was one of the most engaging podcast discussions I’ve heard, and I’ll definitely be subscribing to the Mental Illness Pod on iTunes.
